Axel Horn

Axel Horn (born January 11, 1913 New York) is an American artist.

Life

He studied at the Newark School of Fine and Applied Arts, and Art Students League of New York, from 1931 to 1934. He studied with Thomas Hart Benton, along with Jackson Pollack.[1] He was a member of the Federal Art Project, and he painted murals at Seaview Hospital, Bellevue Hospital Center, Welfare Island Nurses Home, Whitehall, New York Post Office, and "Preparation for Lifework" in the Yellow Springs, Ohio Post Office.[2]

He lives in an historic home, Shaker Hollow,[3] in Westchester County, New York.[4]
